Safia Ouares
This French illustrator and director with a wealth of multidisciplinary knowledge is passionately curious about popular global decorative arts, especially those from the Mediterranean, France and Japan. She loves nothing more during a project, she says, than to dive into a trove of materials and archives for creative inspiration, such that the resulting illustration tells a story encompassing a body of knowledge. As a musician and dancer, too, her search for the graphic pace of a drawing is based on balancing the simple sharpness of a line with a profusion of details.
a leathery eau de parfum to match Middle East olfactory trend
The perfumer Fabrice Pellegrin imagined the scent of a leather suitcase tinted, over the course of a journey, with the fragrances of the Middle East. At the heart of the perfume is the leather facet of the suitcase, an exclusive diptyque leathery note, bringing warm notes.
As the suitcase continues on its journey, other ingredients leave their mark on the leather. These notes echo and express the contrast of day and night, on this journey on the roads of the East. Raspberry creates the olfactory accident. Originating from other horizons, this fruit brings a velvety top note that highlights the enveloping facet. the diptyque leather A leather note was specially developed by Fabrice Pellegrin for diptyque to enhance the composition of Eau Rihla.
This natural ingredient with a leathery scent was obtained from Chinese cedar wood. It is a “vegetal” leather with an evocative fragrance.
